Italian glass artisans on the island of Murano form this one-of-a-kind art glass item utilizing a centrifuge process that spins molten glass in large copper bowl. The shape is formed after the glass stops spinning and the artisans begin to shape, mold, cut, and reheat the glass into the shape you see here.
